Authenticating API requests

Written By John Bromley

All Sendr API requests must include your API key in the request header.

Header format

Include your API key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header:

Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY

Example request

curl https://api.sendr.io/sheets \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json"

Common authentication errors

StatusMeaning
401 UnauthorizedAPI key is missing, invalid, or revoked
403 ForbiddenKey is valid but does not have access to this resource

If you receive a 401, check that your key is correctly formatted in the header and has not been revoked. See "Creating and revoking API keys" if you need to generate a new key.
