Each step in a sequence is one action.

Here is the full set of available action types:

ActionWhat it does
Send EmailSends an email from your connected email channel to the contact
Send LinkedIn MessageSends a direct message to a LinkedIn connection
Send ConnectionSends a LinkedIn connection request and automatically moves the contact on once they accept or decline — no wait or check step needed
Send Connection (Legacy)The previous connection request action. Still works in existing sequences, but can't be added to a new one — see "Migrate from the legacy LinkedIn connection request to the new Send Connection action"
Send WhatsApp MessageSends a WhatsApp message to the contact via your connected WhatsApp channel
LinkedIn Profile ViewViews the contact's LinkedIn profile (signals interest)
LinkedIn Connection CheckChecks whether you're connected to a contact. Not needed if you're using Send Connection, which checks automatically
WaitPauses for a set number of days before the next step
ConditionBranches the sequence based on a rule (e.g. page visited, email opened, connected on LinkedIn)
Send a Request (HTTP)Sends a webhook or HTTP request to an external URL

See "LinkedIn actions in a sequence" for detail on LinkedIn-specific steps, and "Using conditions to branch a sequence" for how branching works.
