Creating dynamic GIFs for email

Written By John Bromley

Dynamic GIFs are personalised animated images that include the contact's name or other data. They are designed to be embedded in emails as an eye-catching preview that links through to the contact's personalised page.

How they work

Dynamic GIFs are an optional add-on when generating pages. When you run page generation from your sheet, you can choose to include a Dynamic GIF alongside each page. The GIF is a short animated preview personalised with the contact's name or other details.

The GIF URL is written back into your sheet as a separate column. Use it as a token in your sequence emails — embed it as a linked image that, when clicked, takes the recipient to their personalised page.

Cost

Including a Dynamic GIF with page generation is free — it is covered by the 1 credit per page generation.

If you want to add a Dynamic Video Background inside the GIF, that costs an additional 1 credit per contact.

Using the GIF in email

Add the Dynamic GIF URL to your email template as a linked image. When the recipient sees the email, they see a personalised animated image with their name on it. Clicking it opens their personalised page.

This approach increases click-through rates compared to a plain text link, as the GIF acts as a visual hook before the recipient even opens the page.
