LinkedIn actions in a sequence

LinkedIn steps in a sequence are executed via your connected LinkedIn account through Sendr's cloud-based LinkedIn automation. Your browser does not need to be open.
Available LinkedIn actions
- Send Connection: sends a connection request, with an optional personalised note (maximum 300 characters), and automatically moves the contact on once they accept or decline. This is the recommended way to send connection requests — see "Migrate from the legacy LinkedIn connection request to the new Send Connection action" if your sequence still uses the older setup below.
- Send Connection (Legacy): the previous connection request action, kept for existing sequences but no longer available to add to new ones
- LinkedIn Message: sends a direct message to a contact you are already connected with
- Profile View: views the contact's profile, which can prompt them to view yours in return
- Connection Check: checks whether you are connected to the contact. Not needed if you're using Send Connection, which handles this automatically — still useful as a standalone check for other purposes
Daily limits
Sendr applies safe daily limits to protect your LinkedIn account. The default is what Sendr applies when you connect a channel; the recommended maximum is the point beyond which you start to risk restrictions:
- Connection requests: default 15 per day, recommended max 20 per day
- Messages: default 25 per day, recommended max 100 per day
- Profile views: default 25 per day, recommended max 100 per day
- Connection checks: default 25 per day, recommended max 100 per day (only relevant if you're using the standalone Connection Check action — Send Connection doesn't use manual checks, so this limit doesn't apply to it)
Connection requests are the one limit LinkedIn enforces weekly rather than daily (roughly 100 per week on Free and standard accounts, up to 200 on Premium or Sales Navigator). You can adjust any limit in your LinkedIn channel settings. See "Safe sending limits" for full guidance.
How Sendr handles already-connected or pending contacts
If Sendr tries to send a connection request to someone you are already connected with, or who already has a pending request, it handles this gracefully without sending a duplicate.
Timing between actions
Sendr spaces out LinkedIn actions with randomised delays to keep activity patterns natural. Actions do not all fire at exactly the same time.
LinkedIn connection required for messages
You must be connected to a contact on LinkedIn before you can send them a direct message. If you're using Send Connection, this is handled for you — your sequence only reaches the message step once the connection is accepted. If you're still on the legacy setup, use a Connection Check condition before a message step to make sure the contact is connected before the message fires.
