Sequence triggers: starting a flow

A sequence trigger defines when a contact advances to the next step based on an event rather than a fixed time delay.
How triggers work
Instead of a fixed wait, you can set a step to only proceed when a specific event occurs — for example, when the contact visits their personalised page, or when they open an email.
Available triggers
- Page visited
- Email opened
- Email link clicked
- LinkedIn connection accepted
- Calendar booking made
Using triggers with conditions
Triggers are typically used in combination with condition steps. A condition checks whether the trigger event has occurred and routes the contact down a different path depending on the answer. See "Using conditions to branch a sequence" for how to set this up.
