Steering tone in the Copilot

The Campaign Copilot writes your messages using the tone of voice in your workspace profile and the persona you chose. If the copy does not sound like you, you can steer it in two places: in the chat for the campaign you are working on, or in your workspace profile for every campaign from now on.

Adjust the tone in the chat

While the Copilot is drafting your messages, tell it what to change in plain English. For example:

  • "Make this shorter"

  • "Use British spelling"

  • "Sound less formal"

The Copilot rewrites the message until you are happy. You can ask it to change anything along the way, from the tone of the whole campaign to a single message.

Change your default tone of voice

Your tone of voice is part of the business profile the Onboarding Copilot builds from your website. If the Copilot's drafts keep missing the mark across campaigns, update it at the source. Go to Settings > Workspace and edit your business profile, including your tone of voice. Every future campaign uses this information.

Check your persona

The Copilot also writes for the persona you picked. If messages feel aimed at the wrong person, review that persona's description, goals, and pain points in Settings > Workspace and edit them.

Good to know

Building and editing a campaign with the Copilot uses credits. The credits icon at the top of the Copilot shows how many the current campaign has used.
